The Final Countdown...

So we're now under two weeks until final blast off to nationals. And I would say my panic meter is registering a bout of mid-level turbulence.

I discovered today, that in my excitement over getting my editor and agent appointments, that I failed to notice they're scheduled for theexact same time. Which would be perfectly fine if I had the multiple personality disorder my talking to myself sometimes implies, but I don't, so there's a problem. I've emailed to find out what I can do.

In the meantime, I've been reading up on pitching. I found Diana Peterfund's lesson at Romance Diva's to be really helpful! Only now I need to work on a backup pitch. Argh...

So for those of you going to nationals... Am I the only one not ready? Or is you dashing around like a nut too?

Take deep breaths and try not to panic... (yep, that's easy for me to say!).

I'm sure something will work itself out with the double appointments.

Good luck, and I can't wait to hear all about it.

Sue :-)

Good luck with the pitches! Don't stress -- they're not so bad, honest!

Can't wait to see you at Nationals :)

I am in complete denial of what's happening. Anyway, hope to see you there!

*wry grin* This will work out. You still have time to get this resolved.

I hauled out the luggage yesterday only to find that all of my clothes won't fit in the one Samsonite I planned on using for JUST clothes - lol. Already have the duffle packed with presents for roommates, bookmarks, business cards, extra shoes, and toiletries. *sigh* No. I'm not looking forward to it at all - lol.

Hope to see you there!

How did they not catch on that they booked you at the same time!? That's bizarre. I hope it works out. I had to cancel my agent because it conflicted with the PI party. Ah well.

Aren't you excited!?

I'm going! And in a total panic...

Food luck with the pitches. Remember, the editors WANT you to send them your story. They're looking for something and someone they can add to their lists. Have fun!

Two weeks is a LONG time - you can do it! :) It feels fast now, I bet next week will DRAG by as your anticipation grows! :)

Best of luck! I won't be there this year, either!

But I have a feeling you'll kick butt on your pitches. So don't stress out too much!
