Websites...

I used to have a website. Some of you who have been visiting for a while may even recall it. I liked it, but it never really felt right. Then a problem came up with the coding and I took it down.

I had done it in all html using Notepad. All self-taught html. So, most of it was done the long handed way and I was really limited as to what I could do.

I'm happy to announce that I am finally back on the web. It may not be perfect, but it's a presence. Take a look at my new website! I found a nifty web page maker program thanks to Fiona!

It's pretty simplistic and I'm sure my graphic designer hubby will have plenty to say about that! But it's a start.

So let me know what you think. Too much pink and purple? Anything wrong standing out at you?

April

update: hubby came home and took a look at the site. And of course, he felt overwhelmed by the pink and purple. He recommended some changes with the header to make it black and white and in his opinion better. Ok, it does stop the tooth ache of the bubble gum look a little. So I guess I owe him a thanks ;-) And I've implemented the changes!

I like pink and purple ;)

Is it easy to update?

I personally love your site, April! I especially love that watercolor tulip to the right. At least I think it's a tulip. I know just enough about flowers to make me dangerous.

You have my link up! Awww! Thank you!

Well, I'm partial to pink and purple so I think it looks great! I want to make a website - is this program relatively easy? Just curious...

And one of your links (I forget the name - the images one) distracted me for the last 15 minutes cos I was looking at pictures of hot dudes. lol :)

I seriously need to get my mind out of the gutter.

Thanks guys!

The actual website is a little different from my blog. I'm too intimidated to attempt wordpress. Maybe someday.

Mary & Karen, the program is really easy. I've been really surprised. It's like a simple program you'd use to make a fyer or something. You click "insert rectangle" and set the colors and use the clicker to move stuff. They have a 15 day free trial period with no obligation. It's webpage-maker.com. And you can use ftp to upload or do it file by file which is what you have to do if you use geocities or freewebs or bravenet.

Thanks for stopping by, Squirl! I've enjoyed your blog a lot!

LOL, Karen! I'm not sure which link it was. But at least it wasn't porn ;-)

I love your site! I think it's fun and flirty :) Congrats, I'm slowing starting to learn some code. It isn't as hard as I thought it would be!

Thanks Stacy & Shelli!

Stacy, I've got it up at Freewebs right now. It's... free. But they put a banner at the top. But, I can't complain because it's... well, free :-)
